Vintage Alpacca Silver Mesh Purse
Antique chain link purse known as an "Alpacca" purse, circa 1890s-1920s. Alpacca purses were made out of nickel and other metals to imitate sterling silver. This purse has ridged vertical stripes, round balls at the bottom, and a kiss lock closure. Original suede lining is perfectly intact. Brand symbol and "Alpacca" stamped near one hinge.
Fabric: 100% Alpacca. Alpacca Silver (Alpaca) refers to an alloy that imitates sterling silver. This non-precious bright silvery-grey metal alloy is made up of copper, zinc and nickel and sometimes iron.
Condition: Great preowned condition with minimal signs of overall wear. No tears, stains or damage.
